Merivis Blog Year End Review 2014

I was wondering how to end the year with this blog and knew a year end review would be really a cool way to ring out 2014.  I have alot to be thankful for in my life both professionally and personally and this blog, “Merivis Blog Year End Review 2014” is all about giving thanks and looking forward. The Merivis Blog has been a labor of love and something I love doing and frankly wish I had more time to dedicate to this, but alas, I have a day job. With that being said, I wanted to offer what I consider a few highlights on my blog and give you a preview of what to expect in 2015!

Most Popular Post

Moving over to Word Press this year has allowed me some cool metrics to review what viewers are clicking through and getting value out of. By far the most popular post was “How to Study for the Service Cloud Consultant Exam“. Consistently, more end users clicked through to this blog post, which was published back in July of 2014. Users click this post on a daily basis more than all others and I have had alot of positive feedback on this post. I am happy to know alot of folks have taken to this post and used it as needed. I do remember writing it in a fury real quickly right after I passed the exam. I had thought to myself “People would/should know what to expect from this test”. One of the coolest parts about this post being so popular is Google has put it on the first page when you search “salesforce service cloud test” or “salesforce service cloud exam“.  I will probably have a few more post like this one and will dive deeper in both the Salesforce dev 401 exam and the advanced admin tests. One of which I have taken, and the other (advanced admin) I plan to pass in 2015.

Guest Bloggers

Merivis Blog Year End Review 2014

Over the summer, I decided (along with a friends advice) it would be a great idea to have a few guest bloggers contribute to the Merivis blog. I did not know how it would turn out and wow, what a great addition to the Merivis blog!  There were some great topics for the blog and detailed information that I know provided a new take on technology, process and thought leadership. I wanted to thank Sanjoy Joseph, Joe Castro, Renju Raj & April Justice for all their contributions this year. You guys rocked it and I appreciate the different takes on technology and fresh voices they provided. The Merivis blog already has three new guest bloggers lined up for the first quarter of next year. I certainly plan to increase the number of guest bloggers next year, especially in areas where I believe cloud computing and salesforce are heading. Stay tuned.

 The Year Ahead

The year ahead for me is exciting and I do hope you continue to subscribe to the Merivis blog. First, I wanted to thank all of you who have read through the posts and continue to follow me on this journey. I am grateful to anyone who comes to my site and as I continue next year, I do promise to sharpen my skills and strive to provide the best content.  I do want to ‘move the needle’ on blog topics ranging from technology, user stories and business process. As you know, you can have the latest technology in place, spend lots of money for licenses and training, but if you have not laid the foundation in process and adoption, your money is wasted.  For all of you, I wish you nothing but the best in this new year and will leave you with one of my favorite quotes from the great American leader and president Abraham Lincoln.
