Merivis Foundation

Merivis Foundation programs are supported entirely by individual and corporate donations; because of that we’re proud to have the support of Capgemni as our program sponsor for Cohort III. Our guest blog written by Nolan Melson, Merivis Foundation board member and senior consultant at Capgemni shares more about their commitment to supporting and hiring military veterans.

The Capgemini Veterans Employee Resource Group (VERG) is honored to sponsor the Merivis Foundation’s third Salesforce Administration cohort.  At Capgemini, we pride ourselves on being a global leader in consulting, technology and outsourcing services, which include Salesforce.  At the VERG, our mission is to encourage and assist Veterans in pursuing and building careers in various fields at Capgemini while employing the skills, experience, talent and dedication they bring, as well as providing opportunities to the families of Veterans as a tribute to their service.

When we were developing our VERG 2017 Plan, we thought about how we could truly make an impact in the Veteran community.  Therefore, we ultimately chose to sponsor this Merivis cohort because the Merivis mission directly aligns with our own, we have a growing need for certified Salesforce professionals at Capgemini, and we personally know how life changing it can be to be trained and mentored as a certified Salesforce Administrator.

Since the first Merivis cohort, we have had a great time mentoring previous Merivis graduates like Marine Corps Veteran and Capgemini Salesforce Consultant, Ken Nuehs.  The majority of the VERG members are Veterans, therefore it is extremely rewarding to be on the other side of the table, helping fellow Veterans and spouses with their transition to the tech industry.  As many of us can attest, our Nation’s Veterans deserve rewarding careers, not just jobs, and we are confident that our work with Merivis is helping equip Veterans and spouses with the necessary tools in order find those fulfilling careers in the tech industry.  Furthermore, we are truly grateful to have the opportunity to help train and mentor our Nation’s Veterans and their spouses, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Merivis Foundation for many cohorts to come.
