Military veterans who are launching new careers in tech are finding us, and demand for our cohort-style programs is increasing.

Being perpetually busy is a good thing, right?

But after a record-breaking year and reimagining our suite of educational programs for a post-pandemic era, we realized it’s time to update our technology stack to meet ever-increasing program growth.

Lucky for us, Sercante, a marketing-focused Salesforce consulting partner, swooped in to fill in technological gaps and prepare us for a bright future.

Experiencing Hyper-Growth Before Pivoting Strategies

Our mission is to provide resources for veterans and military spouses during the transition to civilian life and working in cloud computing careers. Veterans join cohorts through the program to learn specialized skills and earn certifications so they have the credentials and confidence to reach their goals.

In the past, Merivis cohorts met in person for coursework. But, like most organizations, we pivoted our strategy during the pandemic to focus on virtual learning.

While transitioning to an all-digital learning format was essential due to the circumstances, it turned out to be a game changer for the people we serve. Geography is no longer a barrier to people who want to participate in our Salesforce training programs.

However, we quickly learned in the past year that our current suite of CRM technology needs major upgrades to keep up with the pace of the organization.

Merivis + Sercante: Scaling Our Programs Through Strategic Partnerships

We’ve worked with Sercante in the past to expand our training course offerings and configure our marketing automation platform. But with increasing technology-related challenges, we decided to take our partnership to the next level.

They are adding to the pro-bono support donation from our previous work together, which means Sercante has now pledged $180,000+ in Pardot and Salesforce support to Merivis since the partnership began.

Sercante is stepping in to optimize our suite of marketing tools so we can deliver relevant messaging and maximize our fundraising campaign efforts.

They will provide technical consulting support to audit our Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot) instance, build marketing assets like emails and landing pages, and build our audience segmentation lists.

Get Involved with Merivis

Whether you’re a military veteran or someone who supports them or a member of the Salesforce community, there are a few ways to get involved with Merivis.

Donate to Merivis

Merivis relies on donations and volunteers to keep everything running smoothly. So, making any type of donation goes a long way. You can choose from several different donation levels depending on your level of commitment.

Join a Merivis Cohort

Here’s how military veterans can get in on the action.

You can apply to join a Merivis training cohort if you are a current service member, veteran, or military spouse. If approved, you’ll get between two to five weeks of virtual training, which typically requires 5-10 hours of commitment per week.

The goal for each cohort is to work toward Salesforce certifications, like the Pardot specialist or Pardot consultant certification.

Be a Volunteer Coach

Volunteering is a great way to give back while learning more about yourself and the community. Merivis has a few ways to participate in the program as a volunteer:

  • Salesforce Coach and Content Lead – Mentor Merivis program members either in a group or individually.

  • Volunteer Instructor – Certified Salesforce professionals who volunteer to lead training sessions are essential to the Merivis program.

  • Resume and Mock Interviews – Veterans entering the workforce get help from volunteers to perfect their resume and practice interviewing skills.

Complete the form here to apply to volunteer for Merivis. You’ll bring more professionals into the Salesforce ecosystem while enabling military veterans to launch new careers — and probably meet incredible people while learning new skills along the way.
